I have neglected my blog...

I have really dropped the ball on this blog. I love to look back and read the posts on what was going on but there is going to be a real hole in 2011. Where to start?

Mallory is now 2 years old and growing like a weed. At her 2 year appointment she was in the 90th percentile for everything weight and height. She is actually really tall. Her hair is even getting really long. I will post some pictures when i can so there is some more recent pics on here.

Kevin changed his job. The NWTF was a great organization to be part of and that really meant alot for Kevin to be a part of but the time away from home and lots of sketchy business changes it was time to make a change. Enters a fellow college friend. He has a very successful financial business and has always mentioned to kevin to come and help out. So he took the plunge and now works in selling insurance and other financial policies. It has really caused a little bit of money stress because its not guaranteed money but each week he sells till he meets his goal. I know he will do whatever it takes to take care of his family but its still scary. We have this stupid house and now 2 cars to pay for since he had to of course give back the company truck (which is making for an interesting hunting season driving a Accord).

Other than going on about our everyday life its been pretty quiet around here. I cant wait for Halloween we still arent sure what Mallory is going to be it started out as witch then cowgirl now this weekend it was a cat so i am just going to take her to the store and let her pick it out. Thanksgiving will most likely be here since Christmas has to be at my Moms house due to baby Liam and Ethan...Steph has 2 kids to take loot home now so she might need to drive 2 cars to Christmas morning. I cant wait i have already bought a good part of her Christmas. Want to buy her so much so got to start early.

I hope i will post again before this upcoming Thanksgiving!!

Night 1 down...

So last night was the first night of Mallory being in her toddler bed and as usual the extra stress was for nothing. She got in it at first and jumped around. After we shut the door she dropped an egg over the side and we knew that this was the when she would discover that she could get out but she didnt. We think she still doesnt realize that she can get out. We will see what this afternoons nap brings because lately she hasnt been napping all that great. i took some pictures but havent uploaded them yet i will do that later.

Animal quiz...

We love to quiz Mallory on her animal sounds. Here is a video of her in the bath getting an "A" on her animal sounds. Also instead of Grandma she just says "maw" which is really funny and for Nana i say "nana banana" so she says it funny too.

long time no blog...

I cant believe it has been since Thanksgiving that i blogged. We have had alot going on. Lets see 1 stomach virus that thankfully Mallory kept to herself, 1 black eye from falling in the bathtub, 1 fall down the stairs and a couple of ear infections to add to the list. Mallory is 20 months now and it is making us laugh everyday. It seems like now she learns a new word or does a new dance or comes home with something from school. Like ring around the rosie. She grabs our hands and just loves the fall down part.

So i was noticing that the last blog was also about Kevin not doing so good with his neck/arm. He now is feeling 99.9 % better but they are still keeping him on some nerve medication just to make sure the nerves heal. His banquet season is in full swing and he is slowly getting back into the hang of things. Every year it seems to come up faster.

So on Thursday is my 31st birthday. Last year i was having a crisis over 30 and made it thru regardless of the stomach bug so this year 31 doesnt seem that bad but i do think that having another baby better happen sooner than later i am not getting any younger. i was talking to the director at Mallory's school and she asked if we were thinking about it and i told her "i missed the memo where it is buy one get one free at her school".

Just to document but we really have been torn over Mallory's paci and i really wanted to go cold turkey and just suffer thru it this weekend. Some of these baby websites were saying that children with pacifiers get more ear infections. Really! Also the gap in her front teeth is probably from her dad but what if its not. So we only let her have it at nap and bedtime instead of us suckers letting her have it all weekend. So tonite she did not even ask for it b/c she was distracted with toys but when i laid her down still nothing about the paci so i thought i would give it a try. I have been watching the monitor like a hawk and she did take a bit longer to fall asleep but as of now she is out asleep. This is a close to cold turkey as i could get. Fingers crossed but i am going to try my best to not let her have it.

I have some great videos on my new video camera that i will try to upload soon.

Whew...

So this post should really start from last Sunday. Kevin kept saying his neck/back hurt and rested all day. Come Tuesday he could not take it anymore and went to Patient First. They gave him pain killers, steroids and muscle relaxers. None of which helped him at all. So he was unable to help with any of the Thanksgiving prep. So everyone came for Thanksgiving and that was great to have everybody together to eat. We were all cleaning up and playing around when Mallory hurt her arm spinning around. I didnt think anything about it until she just would not put her arm down she was holding it up and would not let you touch it. So we called the doctors office and they told us to head to the ER that it could be dislocated. So on Thanksgiving night we headed to the ER. I felt bad b/c we had to rush everyone out of the house. When we got there it wasnt that bad only 1 person was waiting in front of us. They took xrays which was terrible b/c i had to hold her down. When the doctor came in she let him do anything he wanted. So the diagnosis is Nurse maid elbow. He said that when we were moving her arm for the xrays we must have popped it back in to place. After that while we were waiting for our paperwork she was running around the room like nothing had happened. Keep in mind it is about 8:45 at this point and is way past her bedtime.

So me and my Mom went black friday shopping and had a blast. We got up at 3:15 and our first stop was Target. The line was at least 2 miles long. When we finally did get in we got everything I needed and had to stand in a check out line that was all the way around the store. After that we headed to Wal-Mart which wasnt that bad. At 5:00 they tore all the plastic off the doorbusters and everyone went running. I wanted a camera and I was yelling to my Mom"get the Sony". I got everything I needed there too. We continued our day but cant blog about my stops in case Kevin reads this. By the time we got home at 1:00 we were done. We both took naps while Mallory took hers!

Back to Kevin. He is going to call tomorrow and try to get in to have an MRI. That is what the doctor at Patient First said if it didnt get better that he will have to get an MRI. So I hope that everything is going to be ok he cant even pick up Mallory.

Trick or Treat 2010...

Mallory's year 2 of being a ladybug went off with out a problem. She loved it. Everytime someone would put something in her bucket she would say "ooooo". We only made it to a few houses of course but she had fun. We went to my friend Kristen's house and she gave her an apple which Mallory would not let go. She was bitting into it even in the bathtub. Then me and my mom and Kevin sat on the porch for the rest of the night and handed out candy to about a million kids.

Pumpkin Patch...

We went to the pumpkin patch today and Mallory loved it she didnt want to leave the pumpkins. This place had animals and all kinds of stuff for kids to do and to go get pick your pumpkins you took a hay ride back to the patch to pick them out. She loved it. It wore her out before we even pulled out of the farm she was already asleep in the back of the van.
